Bad news pal, the rest of the menu is working including the sound effects, just not the menu music still.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cry of Fear ,does that help at all?
Launching CoFLaunchApp.exe worked, Big Thanks mate!
When I duel wield it looks like I'm holding the knife as if it were alone, but then a third hand pops up on the right holding the flashlight.
I have been running the game from the CofLaunchApp the entire time. This is fixed by using Windows XP service pack 3 but then the ambience and some sounds are missing. Really strange situation. Which patch on ModDB were you talking about earlier?
My specs are:
Windows 10
GTX 960
8 GB of RAM
Intel Core i5 CPU 750
When I launch it from the coflauncher it does what it did before (no music/sound issues that I've notcied, but the same graphical problems)
The game technically runs and looks the way it should, but the audio is bugged. All of the ambience/background music is just non existent. And the gun sounds are missing.
The frustrating thing is that when I look up these problems everyone recommends what I'm already doing.
good luck
