I've heard that they are gonna work on a remaster based off of the unreal engine.

i think it got cancelled due to it being too costly tho im not sure

well, andreas mentioned that he's been working on a project for a new horror game that will be similar to his two previous games, so i suppose to look forward to that. however, he also stated that he won't be making any promises since he still has to come up with the story, and some other factors for building the game—at least from when he shared that post in august this year. although i haven't heard any following updates regarding this new game after that. there could be one on dc, but i'm too lazy to check on it. all i hope for is that the game gets finished.

i think it's still being worked on: the insufficient funding was the source engine and not Unreal Engine. i think it's still being worked on but i've got no clue.

as far as i know it got cancelled long ago we got a brief gameplay footage but thats about it. kinda sucks that devs aint getting the fund or recognition they deserve
