Coop or single player?

I never have played it before and i am wondering. Should i play coop to get used to the controls or should i go single player? I am kinda scared easily,If anyone would like to play with me to help,say so in the comments.

Singleplayer tells you the controls. And the singleplayer is considered canon, so if you play co-op you won't know what is going on. Other than that, some cheap jumpscares, psychological horror, and such is in the game. As I usually suggest to anyone else who asks this question, play singleplayer first before the co-op. It'll take longer,but it'll be more worth it in the end.

alos single can take longer you first time, but it is possible to do on nightmare in under 2 and a half hours, so just remeber your second playthrough shoudl be so much faster then your first
