Afraid of Monsters Director's Cut--help requested with install

[Seize the Night]

I downloaded the Afraid of Monsters Director's Cut from Fileplanet because the ModDb mirror didn't appear to be working. Anyway, I ran the executable and had all the files extracted into a new folder that I named "Afraid of Monsters Director's Cut."

I placed the folder into steam>steamapps>Common but I didn't see the game show up in my library.

I then moved the folder to steam>steamapps>sourcemods but I still don't see it as a game in my library.

I then right-clicked on the Half Life icon in my library, went to Properties, went to Launch, and added -Afraid of Monsters Director's Cut, but I'm still not seeing it.

I have turned off my computer and started it up again, but there's been no change.

If anyone can help with this problem, I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

I just figured it out, and the problem is that there are only half-correct answers available on the Internet. I have no idea why a clearcut guide has never been made.

If anyone else is having problems, this is what you need to do:

1. Create a new folder and call it something that's easy to remember. Most people call it AOM.

2. Place the folder in this directory: steam>steamapps>common>half life

(The newly-created AOM folder MUST be inside the Half Life folder)

3. Half Life must be fully installed--do so if you currently have it uninstalled.

4. Right-click on the Half Life icon in your games library, go to Set Launch Properties, and add -game AOM (IMPORTANT: There is one space between the word game and AOM. You must also have the dash before the word game).

5. Click OK

6. Click Close

7. Now, when you go to play Half Life, the Afraid of Monsters screen should appear. You're all set.

I just installed with the installer with its default install options (It should install into the folder of Half-Life). Then I right to properties and then in launch options typed in the box -game AoMDC. It should run the mod.
