What can be done against the birds?

Like seriously, they're killing all the fun out of this otherwise great game. Please tell me that there is a way to kill these f's. I'm, so close to refunding.

Slap them, use ropes, don't disturb their nests, use a hand on 2 separate holds to prevent them from getting both hands at once, find and use bird seeds to pacify them temporarily. Plenty of ways to deal with them.

Thanks for the reply.. but how do i slap the birds? I tried every button my controller and looked it up in the controls, nowhere to be found. That hands on 2 seperate holds is a good one.

Simply reach out for them with a hand while you are on a hold. If you hit them while they're approaching to attack, they'll make an audible squak and cancel their current attack.

I'm 100% with you. The birds suck to deal with. You just have to spam click on them and hope they go away. I've had so many times where it feels like my hands go no where near them, they feel SUPER jank. Seriously love every other part of the game. Just birds.

Seriously, other than "Just don't hit them lol" they're just a "hope you're attached to a rope when you accidentally piss them off."

You don't have to spam click; you can just hold out your hand and let them fly into it.

ok I don't get why people don't like the birds :( they're so easy to avoid! I love them tbh. they look so adorable just sitting on their little rocks chilling and I always feel so bad when I accidentally grab the hold they're on :((( sorry little buddy I didn't mean to!!

look for other routes folks! skip the birbs' rocks :)

I try to, my thing is the hitboxes are just inconsistent. I'll have times where I feel like I should have hit them, but I don't, and then other times, I hit them when I shouldn't have. It's just a frustrating mechanic that feels shoddy.

I get that, they were kinda scary at first, but I learnt to skip their holds and get the hell out their aggro range fast pretty quick! you can always do a bigger jump to skip the hold the birb is on. only real exceptions are old skerry in general, and great gaol's inevitable soak and nesting pass cruxes. old skerry's short af, and for great gaol there's ropes :)

I know how to deal with them. They just never feel like a fun challenge to overcome. With the rocks that crumble, or cramps or the slippery rocks, there's a very specific way to get around them. With the birds it feels like there are half a dozen ways that might work and you have to try other ways. They just feel inconsistent to me.
