You fall you die reward

So i loaded into the game to check out the new bivouac and was greeted with a pleasant surprise when i stretched out my characters arms and saw that not only the sleeves but the entire outfit is gold. Really cool reward but i dont know what its tied to, id assume its for finding all collectables or something but im not sure, would love to know!

Edit: just checked the cabin and realized you can hang the coat up, and it also displays that the coat is rewarded for completing you fall you die, very nice touch

How did the mode goes for you? did you finish all book to get extra rope, chalk and coffee or did you just use a few rope on solemn tempest?

I managed to complete it with I think around 15 ropes, no pipe, no coffee, and I think I only used a few chalks. I was going for all collectables on a lot of my failed first runs but then decided it wasn't worth it and instead just got the family photos so I could get the double length rope, since that feels like it has the most impact for me

Does getting the photo work for you in YFYD? I just got all 4 photos and they just sit there.

I have a lot of trouble with the Tines and the North. Everything else I seem proficient enough in, but I will never be able to free solo lol.

Oh well, I will go again at some point. Make a guide this time on what items are where because I have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ memory and can never remember where things are or what they are.

The stages that have photo pieces are gray gully, lands end, the great crevice, great gaol, and st. Haelga

The games really punishing haha, especially YFYD, you will clip a small ledge after what feels like a small fall and your run will end, not to mention the sheer length and how punishing a lot of the falls are later on in a lot of the tines and northern range maps, but if you spend enough time learning the maps you'll be able to free solo eventually

Yes, only the free solo achievements are locked behind using ropes, so feel free to use any sort of equipment you want if you just want to finish all the maps on YFYD
