Loved every minute of it
Great concept and execution, very original.

The only problem I had was:

Never in thirty years of computer games have I experienced motion sickness in any FPS, but the later levels got me. I had to take breaks and have medicine while playing. Something about the intense swinging motions, I guess. Perhaps some combination of FOV settings or color could be used to mitigate this, or maybe even pop out to third person, although that is less desirable.

I also instinctively feel like the low poly/dithering effect exacerbates this problem, since it reduces visual clarity and makes the eyes have to work harder, thus compounding feelings of motion sickness.

I set the FOV at max and turned off dithering. I would have appreciated a higher max still, but it was much better than the default settings for me.

I agree that the demo is very good, very demonstrative. The climbing controls are quite intuitive, though the aiming feels rather random.
My personal issue is that I didn't find a way to pause mid-way without losing grip, and my old thumbs need to rest once in a while.

On a side note, I ignored the game as soon as I saw precision-platformer as a keyword, but the trailer was playing and didn't show a precision-platformer at all, hence my trying the demo after being intrigued. It's a great trailer in my book. And the game is definitely not what I call a precision-platformer. 'Climbing' as the main keyword is the best fit, and 'physics' completes the picture pretty well.

Your message sent me back to the options menu to look, because I didn't remember that being a setting, or I would have definitely changed it. I didn't even notice that there was a second graphics menu at the top.

Changed those settings, feels like a different game now. Thanks.

As to your problem, I recommend enabling toggle to grip. This makes your hands "sticky." You need only click once to grab and don't have to click and remain holding to stay attached. This is by far the saner option IMO.

And you found the option I overlooked. Thanks. I'll give it a shot.
