Hi!
Unfortunately, no option to make graphic adjustments has been implemented.
We are receiving more and more feedback of this kind and are passing it on to the team for consideration.
If we hear any information about it, we will let you know.
We apologize for the inconvenience. <3
Here are my specs;
Asus Rog Strix GL753VE Laptop (plugged in)
Intel Core i7 7700HQ 2.8ghz
Nvidia GTX 1050ti mobile 4gb vram
16gb ram
2tb samsung 970 SSD
Speaking of specs, someone else in the discussions forum for this game had the exact same stuttering on their laptop but with a 4080 RTX. My guess is maybe the studio who developed this particular game didn't optimize the game well for mobile laptops. We both met recommended specs and MLP Maretime bay Adventure runs perfectly on my laptop at 60pfs with no stuttering. Hopefully Outright Games can have the devs fix the unity stuttering and other issues players have had and not leave them unfixed and save the day.
Hi,
We are very sorry to hear about the performance issues you are experiencing with the game.
Thank you for providing detailed information about your specs and the specific issues you're facing. Your feedback is invaluable, and we want to assure you that we are sharing all these details with our development team for review.
While we currently do not have an option to adjust graphic settings in the game, we are actively compiling feedback like yours to better understand the challenges our players are facing. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience and understanding as we consider potential improvements.
If you have any more details or further issues, please feel free to share them with us. Your support means a lot to us, and we hope to provide a smoother gaming experience for everyone.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.
Best,
Outright Games Support
I tried many things in the Nvidia Control Panel. Like, Monitor Refresh Rate to max or handled by app, MAX FPS to 30, 60, 100, 120, GSYNC on/off, VSYNC on/off, and it didn't do anything. Every... I would say one to one and a half seconds, the game visibly freezes for a few milliseconds. But there is more to it. It also affects some of the animations. For example, when Sunny is on her rollerskates, her tail twitches EVERY time. As if the animations gets restarted. My guess is that this goes deeper than just a video setting. I don't have this problem with A Maretime Bay Adventure.
Hopefully this will get fixed at some point. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the game.
I also had the occasional stutter during gameplay, but that was a minor issue by comparison.
Hey there,
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience in such detail. It's great to hear that you've been enjoying the game despite the frame rate issues.
We've passed your feedback on to our development team for review. They're looking into the underlying causes. While we don't have an immediate fix to share, please know that improving performance across different hardware configurations is a top priority.
Thanks again!
Hi!
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience with us. We appreciate you letting us know about the issues you encountered. It's good to hear that switching to Desktop Capture resolved the flickering issue for you.
Regarding the occasional stutter during gameplay, we're sorry to hear about that inconvenience.
Sharing this with the team for review.
Thank you!
the occasional stutter was due to a script in the game (the full name is: `DrakharStudio.Engine.ResolutionManager`) which re-sets the resolution (to the same resolution) every 1 second
From the x64 folder you just copy d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll to the folder where your game exe is. when you next run the game the stutters will be gone or at least significantly reduced.
Now all I need is an option to change the resolution to 4k as that is what I use. On the previous game I was able to change the resolution via the steam launch options but this method doesn't work on this game unfortunately :( If anyone knows of a way to get the game running at a higher resolution I'd love to know how.
This mod is for both AMBA and AZHM.
(Although I ran out of motivation to keep developing this mod last year, so it's been a while, so I probably don't remember every detail)
for 4k:
after you have installed the mod, run it once and a "Settings.txt" will appear in the "Elements of Harmony" folder inside the game folder, in it you can change these two lines
"DirectXHook.Width=" "DirectXHook.Height=" to
"DirectXHook.Width=3840" "DirectXHook.Height=2160" to make the game run in 4k resolution.
for stutter:
the solution for every 1-second stutter is already implemented in the mod, no need to install dxvk, as long as you are running the mod correctly, this issue should go away.
My game was opening and closing the Steam UI constantly, so I tried the mod, and it fixed it. I can actually play now, thanks a lot. Although I would like to add that instructions for installing the mod should be at the top of the readme on Github (there's only wrong information about installing there as far as I can tell) and probably in a readme.txt in the release. It's super easy, just drop the relevant folder over the game, but I didn't see anywhere that said that and just kind of guessed based on the folder structure.
Just wanted to follow up once again, and say this solution actually worked better for me. The mod got rid of the game breaking stutters, but it broke shops and and the dance mini-game (well maybe they were always broken, I can't get anywhere without modifying the game one way or the other). The DXVK thing has no configs but seems to fix stutters and frame drops everywhere so far.
