Creature won't come again.. is that normal?

Hey! First of all: I pretty much love this game! I encountered the creature (like most did) in the 3rd day in a kind of swamp. I stayed hidden in the grass, it passed me and i got the achievement "duck and cover". Since that, about 5 hours playtime are gone, i already got the Brain and Endurance Emphasis drug and i have been in 3 or 4 research stations now and i didint meet the creature a second time... can that be or is it a bug? thx!

Usually the complaint is that he comes too much, I would say you've been really lucky!

Sometimes it happens. Recently, I played 6 game days without meeting him, and then abandoned that savegame, because I needed creature-hit achievements :) On the next game session he came at day 3 and day 4, as usually he does -- near key plants.

Hey! Thanks very much! I think I should be happy with the situation like it is now.. i got plenty of time explore without getting interrupted by a chase (or quitting by fear :D )

just one other thing:
is there a certain "way" through the game or doesn't it matter what way you take first? I'm asking because after i got to to "Ruin Site B", where a map guided me to find that glowing algae, I just dont know where to go because no document or note told me. i decided to walk north from outpost Vega but i have no idea if I'm on the "right" way. Is this how its supposed to be? just walking somewhere and hope its the right way? or did i miss some map or note? thank you!!

Doesn't matter. You can find all needed plants in any order, even if you don't read any notes and maps. Notes will just help you learn what you need to find, and maps will give you answer where to find.

It's how I'm doing it on my second playthrough. :O) I've got the muscle emphasis & endurance 'power-ups', and the ingredients for Agent X & Y, but I've mapped hardly any of the island.
I should also say that I'm on Day 17 and I've had only one - one! - attack from Milo. Several times my heartbeat's started going but it just faded after 20-30 secs, and once I saw him but he didn't see me and just crept around the side of a hill and out of view.
Short answer: There is no 'right' way to play this game. :O)

I'm more then halfway throught he game (have 2 components of the cure) and haven't met Grue/Milo/The Beast/The Creature/Professor Meow/ Sir Nibbles yet.

EpicGuard reported something similar, not seeing the creature at all eleven days in - http://steamcommunity.com/app/223510/discussions/0/666824800728456142/

I suggested he try starting a new game in a new slot, sleeping until the start of the third day then travelling to a well known location that the creature spawns at (see that post for details). He reported that after doing so the creature started showing up on his original game as well. I'd be interested to know if the same thing works for you.

I love this game, and it really doesn't work without Milo, but I don't mind when he doesn't show up for days at a time....
