I'll still curb my expectations a little.....since it could just be cancelled leftover data.
No Ray Poward though eh.... mmmm. Guess it would be kind of redundant seeing as he's the stand in for Bill in Hardcorps.
Will it have online in a future update but not a launch?
As for the rest, thoses are text about online multiplayer being found inside the game. So that shows they planned multiplayer at some point. I don't know if it'll be available at release, later or at all.
Can confirm through my own dive into the files about certain aspects of the text datamine (there's visual assets for the secret characters shockingly enough!). I may have been a bit too keen and looked at the script...
I'm thinking the same, especially as the demo is made up of parts of two stages combined. So for all we know one stage could be much shorter than the demo stage.
I think stage 1 ends at the wall boss, in which case they are significantly shorter.
So the relatively high price will basically be became it's a Konami game. There are a lot of Steam indie Contra games that as just as good but less than 1/3 the price of this game.
The lack of online co-op is mind-boggling
If they add that, I may give it a chance. I try the demo, is ok. But ONLINE, with random or friends, that would be cool.
I mean Contra Hard Corps did have super short stages, often times you basically just ran a screen or two and there was a boss. Bosses themselves often times where relatively simple in what they did, often had multiple phases. Which resulted in over 20 "stages" if you count in "just a boss fight".
Indeed Konami. That company name turned into a slur these days, just remember Contra Rogue Corps.
But lets wait and see, the absence of a online coop might be because... maybe this is a switch port? It is released on the Switch too, so maybe.
