Not for gaming it isn't. Groceries and rent are absolutely going up constantly but game prices aren't.
This is just an example of Konami overcharging for a game that is literally only worth $20 or less.
Especially as it has no online co-op.
Here is a similar game which will have a lot more stages but will only cost $15.

Edit: GMG has it for 30% off, and I am still balking. There cannot be enough game there to justify that price - this must be Konami insanity manifesting again.

Things are way worse. You’re getting a good deal for $40. Can’t go out to eat for two less than that. That will likely only last 2 hours as well.
sure keep making random food comparisons, im sure that will change the fact that your opinion is clearly in the minority, how about this, show me another game on steam that is 2 hours for $40, because i can show you plenty of action games like this that are far cheaper, in fact you've been shown in this very thread some like iron meat and blazing chrome.
I wouldn't even care as much if the game was like masterpiece level but WayForward produced the most mid ass game in existence and then demands premium prices? get outta here.
Opinion doesn't. Facts matter. Inflation sucks and your dollar is not worth what you want it to be. Opinion? That's hilarious. Thank God reality is not based on opinion. LOL.
There are so many better games out there for less than half that price which have 5x more gameplay.
They couldn't even be bothered to add online co-op, so little effort or care in their own franchise - yet again.
Definitely recommended to those who want a tough Contra-like.
Hopefully Iron Meat will be out fairly soon, last I heard it will have 15 stages and the devs are going to try and add online co-op post launch.
Around here (NJ) plenty of 2 for $25.00 meals and not fast food. Game is over priced though will defend their right to price the game however they want.
