Finish the game in 2 hours.
Not bad, it brought all contra elements from 90s and early games. Including crab boss, alien boss, fire trap and snow level. It was a great experience. Thank you devs! I will choose other character and try the game again.

Glad that was worth $40 to you since it won't be to most people.

Yup, I'm gonna wait for a discount here. Though in that time, it could very well be, another good game releases that I am willing to throw my cash at. Though to be fair, this is my humble POV.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/598550/HUNTDOWN/ this is way better and with a better retro look

That game is extremely boring.
Never was able to play it more than 30 minutes overall.

Are we talking Story Mode or Arcade Mode?

Of course its boring. So is Contra. its not 1990 anymore. Other than a quick bit of nostalgia, why bother?

Yeah, they literally took a close look at Contra 1, Super C, Contra 3, Contra Hard Corps and the Gameboy Advance remix... and just plainly took out all the mechanics and enemies found there. Operation Galuga is a Frankensteinian monster of all that made Contra good.

After seeing the whole game I have to say its mid at best. Each stage is a mix of stuff we already seen in prior titles, which is not a bad thing by itself. The issue I have, is that they just plainly take over things from prior games and then not do due diligence in the level design.
What do I mean, there are so many spots where on first look you wonder "how am I supposed to traverse that spot?".

Contra Operation Galuga is for me a mid game, it is nice enough if you want to relive old stuff in a new graphic, but if you come expecting to be blown off your seat, something the older games, especially the 16 bit iterations, could manage easily... you are at the wrong game.

Talking about boring when you have 400 hours on Fallout 4 lol

This game is so overpriced, even if it were 50% off it wouldn't be a tempting offer.

Considered the graphic and content offered I agree.

They should have rather cut the voice acting, and had made like Contra Hard Corps multiple stages.

But did you play in hard mode and 1 hit deaths?
Edit: I checked your screenshots and no you did not.

I don't know why they created such cheesy childish cutscenes. They should have used that time to create stages.
There aren't any memorable and exciting stages in this game. I'd rather be playing a classic Contra game - at least those feel intense and exciting. This is a boring slog with no intensity.

Overpriced :turd:
