Won't start at all.
"Miner Wars has stopped working" pops up instantly after launching the game.
I've tried fiddling around with the compatibility settings and it still won't work.
I've also tried repairing VC 4.0.
It's a damn shame, too. I just set up a joystick and everything. :/

Thanks in advance.

Same problem here. I tried windows update, reinstalling/fixing .net framework, reinstalling the game, verifying, changing compatability modes, etc etc etc. Nothing works. I do have a dual monitor setup which seems rumored to cause problems. But the solution to that is editing the config file, which, for me at least, doesn't exist in users/name/appdata/roaming/minerwars.

Problem Event Name: CLR20r3

Pretty dissapointing, really wanted to play this one.

Please send us your MinerWars log files (if there are any)
http://www.minerwars.com/Troubleshooting.aspx

If it crashes even before Miner Wars loads, please check what's in that troubleshooting page.

I've checked the whole troubleshooting page and there is nothing in there that will help me. I can't find a log file either.
I get the same event name as Omni.

Yeah, ditto, no log file or config files in users/name/appdata/roaming/minerwars

Can you right-click on Miner Wars in your steam client library, click Properties, click Local files, click on "Verify local game cache"? (or something like that)
PaprPlatePaladn Mar 23, 2013 @ 3:42pm
Yeah I've verified local game cache a couple times, also did it just now. Still same result. Is there anything else I should post? I have a quad core intel, 4gb ram, nvidia 460. My PC runs things like Skyrim really smooth. Like I said, also tried reinstalling the game already.

yup same here.
my specs: AMD Phenom II X4 955, 4 gigs of ram, Nvidia 660 on a 32-bit system.

Same here except I only have a single monitor. AMD quad (phenom II 965), 8GB ddr3, 560Ti... No log or cfg files generated by the game :(

Problem with nvidia cards/drivers? I'm using 314.07 forceware at the mo, I don't really want to roll back to an earlier version as these drivers are brilliant in all my other games...

Oh please don't be the driver...

What sound card do you have? I'm running an Asus Xonar DSX with the unified drivers... Just wondering if that's a possible area of conflict?

I'm not 100% about that. It's a built-in soundcard on the motherboard. It's some Nvidia Asus motherboard (sorry, don't have the box with me right now).

We will look into this on Monday but I would bet it's corrupted .NET installation
funkynutz Mar 24, 2013 @ 9:04am
Not the soundcard then... TBH I'm kind of leaning towards .net being buggered as well (despite wiping it and reinstalling it more than a few times).

Well I'll try reinstalling .NET (again) then.
