Anyone know how to multibox Steam clients?
Is there a way? Not in the interest of buying multiple non-steam accounts. When I try it seems Steam can always tell when it's games are running. Launching the game on Account 1, killing that steam process on Account 1, log in on other steam Account 2, try to launch Perpetuum on Account 2...says "App already running".

Trying to launch the exe. results in "steam not found".

Not sure what to try at this point if there's any way.

(If there is a way, just saying but it means you can buy one steam account and have infinite* multiboxes running with only the one purchase)

I believe that is erroneous.

I bought my copy from steam... can I buy a copy from their website, install to a diverent directory and just run it that way?

With a steam purchased account you will ONLY be able to log in via steam(unless you were like an early founder buyer). If you buy from their website you will be able to play on either steam or their client byitself. Their client by itself can easily be instanced to different directories and run multibox that way.

This doesn't work easily or perhaps at all with Steam. I mean you can't simply run multiple steam clients, or multiple processes of the same game on steam.

It may be very likely that if you buy it from their website, you can by a certain means have two accounts for the price of one.(which you can run at the same time....this is the only real reason to have multiple accounts)

If there is a way for someone to figure out how to run multiple steam clients though, you have maybe like 5 free accounts you can work with for the price of one.(through a certain means)

There was a forum post on this as well, might have been bumped to page 2 or 3.
The solution, if I remember right, was to have one account on steam and one through a browser on the main site as well.
Have you tried just making a second or third steam account??

I'm not asking if I can run mutlple coppies form steam... what I'm curious if I can run one steam copy and one copy I purchase from the website?
