So does this patch fix the bugs in the game for Call of Cthulhu?

It fixes a bunch of gamebreaking bugs.

And you may need to use a cracked .exe to use all the cheats/tweaks in the patch. But the bug fixes work with the steam version of the .exe.

I was hoping to use the debug mode in the cheats section, but for some reason that page is off limits... just patching it didn't fix the bug that crashes my game every time....

To get to the cheats, you need to get the cracked exe-file.
Try to redownload/verify integrity, then use the patch again.

It checks if all the game files are in order.

And right click on your game in the library to choose it.

Well I redownloaded the patch and verified integrity, but the cheats didnt unlock. The game still crashes too, even after 2 files were reacquired. It's funny the frustration I'm going trough to be able to play this game on a modern computer.

Same here, and my graphics card is a nVidia. Weird, i wonder if your problem is software related or hardware. :\

I installed CoC on my older laptop and now play it without it having crashed once so far. Furthermore, I am passed the part where my computer used to crash everytime. WOHOO!! So it appears that the game has difficulty running on the some of the latest hardware!
