Game crash error 'cocMainWin32.exe'

I get the above message in certain parts of the game. Right now I keep getting this message and can't move forward in the game. IT's the part where I climb out of the basement with rats, after sneaking past the fishermen from a storage area. When I try to move a crate blocking the door, the game crashes.. Any1 know what to do?

Hello doctor, try this (i found this info on Jeuxvideo.com

(in french)
1) lancer le jeu
2) ctrl Alt Suppr lorsque le jeu se lance
3) chercher le processus "CoCMainWin32.exe" et faire clic droit dessus, et selectionner "définir l'affinité"
4) déselectionner CPU1
5) fermer le gestionnaire des taches et retourner dans le jeu sans l'avoir quitté !

Thanks mate but the cpu thing doesn't work i tried turning all other cpu's off except for cpu 2 and the game automatically crashes after that. and unfortunately that patch on the forum link doesn't exist anymore...

I had this for a while, but i fixed it by setting the game to 640X480 with NO aa until I got to the next save point. Once I did get to the next save point, I put the resolution back up and it seems to be working fine for now.

I tried it.. at first it almost seemed like its going to work as I started to push the crate in front of the door, got half way and it crashed. 2nd and 3rd try resulted in almost immediate crash... sigh

I have the same bug in my game. first the no reef bug now this!?!?

Crouch while you push the crate/bookcase for the savepoint, and push it while crouching. I had the same thing, and that worked every time.

yea.. i reinstalled on laptop and got passed that part..
but in the marsh refinery i got a bug at one point... when i try to load my game where i last saved it crashes before it could load....so stupid

I am stuck in the church sometimes i can ring the bells and go down the hatch and about to the safe and bam crash

My game didn't crash there but it did crash once at the crate the OP mentioned. I suggest just keep trying it and maybe try ringing the bells and then hitting the save marker (into a new slot) on the way down so when you reload all you have to do is make a dash for the trapdoor. If that doesn't work try the unofficial patch if you haven't already, though I don't know if that fixes this problem. Good luck, outsider.

My game keeps crashing during certin saves and trying to move push objects.
Hunk of junk. I love the game but now I can't go any further until the crash issue is resolved. What a load of horse pucky.

For a game released in 2006? I don't think it's on the list of things to do. It's the unofficial fan fix or nothing.

It doesn't even show up on their site anymore,and the official forums seem to have vanished beneath the seas as well.....i'd say it's official now.
