I also read around abit, and according to someone it helps if you change the resolution to 800x600 and Anti-aliasing to x2.
Gonna try it next time.
EDIT: I tries 1680 x 1050 at 8x anti aliasing, and that seemed to do the trick.
I have played just enough of the game to have become intrigued by the atmosphere, but am now utterly frustrated. I have had about five minutes of game play over the course of about two hours.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
@James, I have fiddled with this without steam support and found that if changing the resolution, other fixes etc don't work, you can go to http://www.tahionic.com/computers/Call%20of%20Cthulhu%20-%20Dark%20Corners%20of%20the%20Earth/game%20cheats.html <<<< This is basically a modded version of DCOTE, and I found that it fixed the problem since I tried all the other fixes and they didn't work for me.
