Just started and I need help please.

I'm at the early stage of the game, I've done some investigating around town and have gone to the hotel for the first time to rest. I cannot get any further, my character refuses to go to sleep, all the other room doors are locked, no windows will open, none of the furniture will move even though there is a hidden door behind one of the wardrobe cabinets and the only exit off the landing of the hotel is also locked. I've checked my inventory and I don't have a key to unlock anything. Can someone help please.

I think you gotta leave one of the doors in your room unlocked. If I remember correctly, the one to the right of the bed stays locked, the one in front of the bed should be unlocked.
