Dagon fight

So I made it through the ship to the boss fight with (I assume) Dagon. Problem is, he never dies and eventually I go insane and lose. I have watched videos on youtube for this part, and he only gets shot 3-4 times with the cannon before dying. I have shot him up to 7 times and he still comes back. Seems like a bug, has anyone encountered this before or know of a workaround? I have spend ~2 hours trying to get past this part.

I've been experiencing the same damn thing and I have no way around it at all...why is this above all not being talked about?

I got around this by loading a save from back at the beginning of the ship. Thankfully going that far back (it was my farthest back save) allowed the fight to work when I made it back to Dagon.

Short of that, I don't know of anything you can do to beat him. You might have to ask for someone else's save from just after the fight (I no longer have it on my computer having beaten it long ago).

Best of luck to you, it is a bug ridden game but I enjoyed the atmosphere it created when not going wonky. Sadly, the bugs will not be fixed beyond what they are now. Hope you can go back to another save and beat it.

Did you manage to use the levers ? If not, it's probably the bug of the save : the last save before the fight must be used only ONCE otherwise the levers won't activate. You should use an old save if you can. I hope it'll help.

I've encountered this bug but I never noticed that it took only 3-4 shots while I just kept shooting him with the cannon until it dies.

Also, if you keep losing from insanity (killing youself) try holstering your weapon (pressing maybe "C" "V" or "B"?)
