Windows notification sound plays when using WASD, spacebar etc. (GOG Version)

I do not know what is causing this but every time I load up the game, Whenever I press the WASD keys or spacebar and various other keys, the windows notification sound is heard making it impossible to enjoy the game as the sound does not go away unless I ALT + TAB which when starting a new game will crash to the windows desktop screen. I have used all the recommended fixes from PCGamingWiki and I still do not know what is causing this issue.

Yeah. The only way to fix it is to Alt + Tab and then go back into the game. My guess is the game has a screen prioritization problem and Alt + Tabbing and then going back to full screen works to tell the game to be priority for the computer.
