Are you basically asking if the AI is bad?

I mean, in Isolation and in the Bunker, the monster has a cheat behavior script, it always knows the area where you are and searches this area, even if you did not give away your presence in any way. Such obvious cheating really spoils these games. I hope there won't be such idiocy in a Quiet Place.

the ai in alien was done so that the game would be tense you cant just let an ai roam and think it will make a good horror game. And the Ai in isolation works a bit different there are 2 sides to the ai the Monster you see and the brains that knows exactly where you are and leads the monster into your general area so that you can get scared the game would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring if the alien would just roam at random.....

It ruins immersion. The behavior of the enemies must be plausible. The developers should have placed several monsters with honest AI on the locations, and not one with an idiotic attachment to the player.

if immersion is: i will never find the monster unless i make a sudden movement... that would be boring as hell no?

you do know that the aliens in isolation are hunting you right? you also know there's more than 1 alien on that ship in the game. In a quiet place they can't see you but they have super hearing so any sound can alert them to where you are and mixing that with multiple of them its not surprising why there would always be one nearby. I get what you mean but if there was never a threat nearby the horror aspect of games wouldn't work really

No way your calling the ai in Alien: Isolation bad despite it literally being rewarded as having the best ai in all survival horror.

He expect monsters to somehow behave the same way humans do. For some reason.

In Isolation, for almost the entire game, only one Alien hunts the player, and he is "tied" to the player, even if you do not move, he will still scurry around you. This is too implausible and spoils immersion. Instead of one Alien, the developers should have placed several in the locations, but with an honest AI.
I hope the monsters in a Quiet Place will have an honest AI, and not an idiotic attachment to the player.

also the aliens in alien isolation look the exact same so you can't be for sure that only 1 is always hunting you especially when there multiple of them all in different areas of the ship

The hunting script should not use a cheat binding of the monster to the player, because Aliens and monsters from a Quiet Place are not telepaths.

cheat bind? so them hunting you or hearing you is considered cheating to you?

The reviews of the game say that almost the entire game, only one Alien hunts the player, and the developers themselves said the same thing. This is confirmed by the fact that almost to the very end we never encounter several Aliens at once.

Read the articles about the Alien AI, it says that the script indicates to the Alien the area in which the player is located, and the alien is always in this area, sometimes hiding, sometimes coming out, but he is always next to the player, even if you did not make a sound. This is the cheat binding to the player.
