I was sure that the game would have open locations with monsters wandering around them, but it turned out that not only are there no open locations, but even a moving monster (always one) is extremely rare, usually instead of monsters there are just offscreen chirps and growls signaling that you are making too much noise.

Stealth survival horror in an open world teeming with super-sensitive monsters and killer looters is a dream. I hope that one day such a game will appear.

To be fair, if you DO end up making to much noise, you acuially draw a Death Angel in. I'm pretty sure they have one out of sight always ready to leap in the moment you sneeze too loud lol.

I would like to add to the above that on hard difficulty monster is most of the time not further than 15m away from me. Some rooms are so annoying I stopped caring about collectibles just to get in a bigger room, because monster presence trigger lung problems and those add effects all over screen that make it look terrible and blurry. I would fire the effect designer. He or she ruined whole game with screen effects. Because of this alone I will downrate the game.

I do not know how it is at other difficulty levels, but in survivor mode, if there is no monster in the location, but only offscreen sounds, then even when you make too much noise, no one appears, but just starts a cut scene with the killing of the protagonist.
