Does the game let you kill the Aliens, or is this a pass like Isolation and Outlast?
What it says in the title

So far from what I've seen you can't defend your self at all. If the creature spots you (which it seems to do at random for no reason often) you are dead. Been watching someone play it for little over an hour. Game got old and repetitive quick.

+1

And it's boring deaths. I thought you'd get jumpscared and killed if you made too much noise. Instead a slow cutscene plays which shows your character scared and unable to move, then killed. Not scary at all.

Uhm, you can fight the Alien in Isolation you cant just kill it while this game doesn't let you fight it at all

I've been playing for three hours, there was no such thing, monsters react only to the player's noise exceeding the general background or if they collide with the player.

Creature hears you? Dead. Fart in your sleep? Dead. Cough from a cold? Dead.
The entire premise from the movie (that any humans survived) and now the game is absolutely stupid. Humans naturally make noise.

Ah shame, if you had a gun you could just blow the things away when they opened up their heads, would make the game actually interesting. Never been a fan of games where you play someone who has to hide from the monsters with no chance of killing the things

While I agree there's a number of suspension of disbelief problems with the premise and the movies, it takes louder noises than a fart to alert the creatures unless they happen to be very close. In the first movie, the kids knock over a lantern, which seems to make a really loud sound (though that may be an artistic decision to emphasize how loud it felt to the characters, not how loud it actually was), and yet no one dies. They exercise an abundance of caution because in the world of A Quiet Place, safe is very much better than sorry. Small everyday sounds like a cough are hardly guaranteed to draw aggro, but it's just not worth the risk if you can at all avoid it.
