Alien Isolation was immediately atmospheric and creepy even before the creature arrives. When the creature does come you felt that it was intelligent and was hunting you. The entire game was absolutely frightening. Still is.
This - the intro sections are.... meh.... they are ok. its story but its also heavy in cliche and it never feels that tense. The creature feels very scripted and where in isolation you feel you can run / hide / outsmart. You wait for it to go away then make a run for it. Here it feels that the entire game is more or less a walking sim with the creature moments added to punnish you for moving too fast or doing anything that would speed up your run time.
Feels very contrived. I love the idea of the game but for me it didn't deliver on what i wanted it to be. I'd rather go back and play isolation again.
Just my 10 cents.
Don't get it.
It has good concepts with the mic detection but it is poorly executed.
Acting in the cut scenes is bad.
The main character is weak and helpless
I kept playing hoping I would get to the good part...
There is no good part.
