Nacon compact wired controller shown as a PS3 controller

All is in the title.

I ve recently bought a Nacon wired compact controller and I cannot use the trackpad because of steam considers it's a PS3 controller (whch don't have any).

I tried to install the last driver to date, it appears after doing combination of button while connecting it that it wont light up (it doesn't respond at all) while driver is showing a checkbox just as it was ok.

Is it a common issue or is my controller non-conventional at some point?

I'm asking you steam community !

Yep, I wen't back there and saw it but I m pretty sure it wasn't mentioned day I bought it, and I still cannot make the trackpad work at all, I m working around xinput but there is no significant improvement.
Is that to say there is no way I could make this very controller work properly, just like any other PS4 controller?

No, based on how NACON decided to do the PC support it's not currently possible. FWIW all the other NACON controllers should work fine. The only 2 PS4 controllers we aren't able to support properly are this one and the Brook Mars Ps4 controller.

I wish I knew this before I bought the controller. Was the only symmetric one I could find, but the lack of functionality on the touchpad makes me feel I wasted money since a few games I play (mainly Elden Ring) use it to some degree. Will try to refund it and find another symmetric one. Seems Nacon is making only assymetric controllers here and I just can't feel comfortable using those
