AGON AG241QG 165hz??? Please help!

Hey guys so I recently purchased and set up my AGON AG241QG monitor and I had some difficulty making sure that the hertz worked and were set properly. It seemed that windows had automatically defaulted it to 59hz. I looked at the options and it seemed I could change it to 144hz but to my dismay I couldn't find the option to change it to 165hz like my monitor is supposed to run at. How do I make sure windows knows that I want to run it at that frequency?

What Windows are you running and what GPU do you have?

I have a Nvidia geforce 1060 6gb and im running windows 10

Are you using an HDMI?

According to your displays specifications:

Display Port goes up to 30Hz / 34Hz / 165Hz
HDMI goes only to 24Hz / 30Hz / 144Hz

You'll need a DisplayPort compatible GPU and Cord.

Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB should have a Displayport output, all you would need is the DisplayPort cord.

I have the Display port cord, the monitor came with it, is there a setting in the nvidia control center im missing?

I have found out I have to have G sync enabled which is supposed to now allow 165hz (because its technically an overclock) and I enabled it and I see no difference, on monitors similar to this design you can adjust the HZ in the OSD but I cant actually see an option to do that. I also have a compatible GPU so I'm stumped.

Nevermind, the OSD had the overclocking function hidden away in its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ interface, I figured it out, yay! Thanks for your help anyway!
