Invisible in the Inventory
I'm having a moderately bad issue. In the quest Paradise, the Bands of the Chosen didn't seem to show up in my inventory after being given them. That wasn't too bad, as I just used the player.equipitem command. Now however, it's a problem. In the quest Through the Fringe of Madness in Shivering Isles, this happens when I pick up the tissue with Relmyna's tears. I get the quest update, and the "items added" message, but nothing actually shows up in my inventory, making it impossible to use the poison! Any ideas?

You don't really need to use the poison to defeat the Gatekeeper since he is a pushover.

I have never used the tears to kill him. Just have that guy with the gatekeeper arrows help you and go kick the gatekeepers ass. The quest will just skip the tears part of the quest and update after you kill it.

Maybe, but I would still like to figure out what's causing this non appearance bug.

I know there are some issues with the bands of the chosen when using bound armor, but I have never seen anything that would make items invisible.

Are you using any mods? There are a few items in the game that are invisble to the player. They are usually armor that are not supposed to be equippable by the player. Maybe whatever makes those items invisible is happening to other items. I have never read about anything like that happening though.

Little update. I tried entering the Shivering Isles on an earlier save, from before Paradise (Right before turning in an artifact for Blood of the Daedra to be specific) and didn't have the problem. The poisons showed up. I'm not sure what that might mean.

You probably just experienced a random glitch when entering the shivering isles or during your most recent game session.

That is one reason why it is always important to save your game often and keep multiple back up saves.

You never know when you will have a problem with the game or have a save become corrupted.

Oblivion is just random like that.
