It works very fine for me on Windows 8.
Also a point can be the system Architekture like x86 or x64.
If you haven't modified the ini file, then either rename it, move it to another location or delete it. Then re-launch the game (a new default one will be created if not detected on launch).
If you have modied it already then open the ini file, scroll down to " fAnimationMult " and check that it is set to 1.00 (the default setting). If it's set to anything higher, then that's the cause.
It is the ifpsclamp setting. When i first installed the game i had annoying frame skipping, so limited the framerate to 60 fixed it. Now all of a sudden i get some animation glitch if i limit the framerate. And if i set it to 0, animations are fine, but also there is no frame skipping like before.
Weird. I did change video card drivers though, who knows.
Know what you mean, I got a new driver uupdate for mine a few weeks ago, but have been holding off of installing it as I have finally got Oblivion the most stable I have had it in nearly a year, so thought I would just enjoy it for a couple of weeks before tha madness begins again ;0)
