A Strange Bright Glare
I've developed a strange problem recently. I don't think it's mod related. When I'm outside, everything is extremely bright, like there's some horrible sun glare over everything! I don't know what's causing it.

The only thing I can think of is, have you been infected by a vampire? Vampirism causes a weird sun effect.

"As you progress through the stages of vampirism, you become more and more light-sensitive. You will notice that light glares more and more, especially when there is a great deal of light around you."

yeah Vamprism in Oblivion is not much more then an STD

passed by bodily fluid transfers.. (ie, bites, scratches, etc)

you could very possibly contract it and not even know untill you start to go through "withdrawl"
Cure it or manage it

Some times, it persists between characters too, which is frankly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying

Having bloom turned on causes this, play with it and HDR turned off. Attach Reshade to Oblivion and use HDR through that if you really want it. I use a simple sharpen effect and HDR through reshade, it helps a ton.

How did you find this post, it was over a decade ago? IIRC, it did turn our that I'd been infected by a vampire and not noticed, and curing it at Deepscar Hollow put my brightness back to normal

don't think i've ever seen the OP answer to a necro'd topic a DECADE later lmao

I mean it seems at least somewhat likely on Steam. If someone posts on your thread from a decade ago you're still going to get a notification. And PC gamers don't usually switch back to console gaming.

Well done Fredbob great to see you are still around. Ten years is a long time in gaming. Are you still playing this game?

If you don't want further notifications, mark the tread as answered or unsubscribe to it. (Now I am wondering if I will ever hear from any of my old threads again because I know I haven't marked many as answered or bothered to unsubscribe either.)

Ah, notifications aren't a problem. I almost never use these forums anymore. I haven't played Oblivion in years, it's one of those games I always get too bogged down in trying to get the dozens of essential mods installed and working together to actually get go the point of playing it. More into Boomer Shooters these days. Playing the Ashes: Afterglow Doom TC currently. Amazing mod. Could easily be sold as it's own game like Hedon Bloodrite did
