reconsidering shooting an arrow?
sorry, weird title. but sometimes i will string an arrow and realize that the enemy im fighting is already dead. is there a way to put the arrow away and not shoot it? for the longest time ive just been shooting the arrow at the ground or near a close wall and picking it up right afterwards. thanks for the replies in advanced.

just do as you have, pop it off into a wall or the ground and pick it up.

game figures once you nock and pull the arrow you must want to shoot it.

besides... its just one arrow who cares lol.

There is a mod for this. Denock Arrow[oblivion.nexusmods.com]

Anything special you're supposed to do to make that work? I've downloaded the mod and activated, and got a different version of the mod and did the same, but neither worked. The arrows still stay there until shot no matter what button is pressed or clicked.

Do you have OBSE? It says in the installation instructions that you need it.

I have it in the Oblivion folder, is there something I'm supposed to be doing with it, or does it just have to be there?

Yeah, if you've installed it correctly just having the files there should be enough. Did you check that you're using the obse_steam_loader.dll?

I must not have had that there when I started using it, I moved it in there recently but didn't test it again after doing so until that post reminded me. So I just tried it and that mod is working now, which is good. Now I just need to figure out why the other one isn't. It's another one that I consider difficult to play without on PC.

ugh downloading a mod. ill just stick to what i was doing. it's not that big a deal; was just wondering if there was a way ingame that they didn't mention. thanks for the replies. :warplate2:

I'm pretty sure it doesn't...?
