Anyone ever wonder "Why can't I help Mehrunes Dagon?"
I mean, come on, I canhelp the good guys and get a flashy set of armor, or I can help the giant Daedra dude get what he wants, then be immensely rewarded (or brutally murdered, but I guess that's just the chance you have to take for power).

i'd love to play as a Dremora and help Dagon, that would be so amazing ;_;
sweet.ahh have you played skyrim?ya well in skyrim you CAN help dagon and get a powerfull dagger called mehrune razor.but you can chose in oblivion you cant..i like to chose

Mehrune's Razor is a decent weapon for a stealth build... but for anything else its only mediocre at best. The proc almost never goes off.

Skyrim is obnoxious, I wouldn't recommend it. There is an official DLC with the GOTY version of Oblivion, that includes a ruins quest where you can obtain Mehrune's Dagger without having to do something puerile like assist the forces of chaos.

As Rabbit has rightly noted though, it's not a very good weapon overall.
i know but in skyrim you can chose what to do with the dagger wother to make it or not when you do the quest in oblivion you dont you ether do the quest and get it or you dont do the quest i like to be able to chose just like i said.i'll stop now

I meant help Dagon conquer Tamriel, not murder a guy to get a shiny new dagger. I want real power, if I wanted shiny metal, I could just do the main quest as normal and get the Imperial Dragon Armor or whatever it's called.

Then those people clearly aren't very motivated to do these things, because learning to mod Oblivion is not hard at all.

Both those 'excuses' speak of extreme laziness. It is beyond easy to use mods for oblivion, 90% are simple copy paste after extracting them.

You obviously are finding the game lacking if you are wanting something that isnt part of it from the default. Just because you dont mod oblivion doesnt mean you have the right to speak like you know what you are talking about as far as that goes. Also:

Fail logic there, if they have a viable solution and choose not to take it that is there problem, It isnt like you are doing any coding or creation yourself, It is not a dissimilar process from backing up your saves.

modding is so easy for Oblivion there is literally no reason not to do it

Indeed. And then if you get Wrye Bash, BOSS, and Tes4Edit you can clean them, order them, make all your crashes go away. Just putzing around with these, I'm on the verge of making my own mods.
hell, I taught myself how to do mods like adding companions and items and such with no problem once i had figured out the script structure and functions.
