The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Best Player House (your favorite?)
I have to say im really loving Battlehorn Castle.

First off... its a Castle, so thats a bonus in my book from the start. Not to mention you get:
1 Captain
4 Guards
1 Cook
1 Vintner
1 Taxidermist
1 Trainer
1 Blacksmith
1 Maid

thats 11 npc's walking around my castle, doing their daily lives here.. i find that incredibly cool. Not to mention once you get your "Trophies" up on those big circle disc things it really starts to bring the castle to life

This is my favorite player house in the game (not counting Shivering isles.. considering you own it all.. sorta)

edit: Almost forgot the Secret passage, every castle has to have one of those! :D

no, im playing an unmodded version of Oblivion
I do like Battlehorn Castle, but I think that I actually prefer Benirus Manor in Anvil for some reason, I think it may be the secret chamber in the cellar.

you know Battlehorn has one too right? and inside it is a Lich and the origional lord of the castle "Lord Kelvin"

There is a journal about all of this in the hidden passage to go to the roof..

in all the castle has 3 hidden passages (one to the basement, one in the training room, and one in your room to the roof)

I did not know this, I have only been in the training room once and that was to see what it looked like when I bought the upgrade.

Other than having a bit of a look around the first time I went there (which is only quite recently even though I have had it installed well over a year), I have only really used the main hall, the dinning area and the personal quarters.

After reading your post, I now feel a bit guilty for not having explored it more so far, and a little bit silly for my first post !
no reason to feel silly... they are actually well hidden

i thought there was only a single one from the main entrance to the basement (turn left as soon as you walk in, there is a "movable pillar" in that storage closet) then while walking my battlements i saw a table on the roof... with no clear way to jump up there, and no path to it inside... well that got me looking hard lol

found another movable pillar in the bedroom... the journal directed me to the last hidden passage.
