The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Gore mod?
Hi!
I'm looking for a mod that would allow me to dismember my enemies, but I don't want to change the core gameplay.
I'd like to know if it exists,or if it's at all possible.

Or if I can configure deadly reflex to not add any features but the gore.

you cant dismember your enemies in Oblivion, thats part of a core mechanic dealing with the body of NPC's and the PC

it would be very hard to get a mod for that as it would require a TON of programming (and of course trial and error testing)

Deadly Reflex 6

But it is fun.:)

NOTE: I do not use mods. Have not yet finished Vanilla + DLCs

Couldn't it be possible to slightly change deadly reflex to not include new combat,or is the dismemberment tied to the gore?

very very doubtfull, that mod looks like its someones special love child project. They spent alot of time creating that (pretty cool too, just not for me)

as with most mods, either you take the mod as a whole... or not at all.. and that mod definatly changes a ton of core mechanics

That's a shame,I have no doubt it's very fun,but the vanilla combat system is one of my favourites of all time.
Well,wait and see I guess ^^

That is actually slightly wrong. It has to do with the fact that the meshes arent set up to dismember, it would still take sme code changes, but it wouldnt be too hard. Fallout 3 and New Vegas run on the same engine and can dismember. The issue is with Oblivions meshes and textures not being set up to split like what would be required for dismemberment. With the proper mesh all you have to do is make a script to handle the specifics of when it should occur, so that you dont have things like punching a dude so hard his leg tears off.

idk if you still care, but deadly reflex 5 is pretty much just the dismemberment without the combat changes of dr6
