Removing Inventory Items?
I just completed Shivering Isles and there are two items I would like to delete out of my inventory, The bad thing is it wont let me do this without the console remove item commands.

As far as I know there is no quest to remove these two items? You can't use the console to remove items in the Steam version I dont think. I am playing the GOTY Edition of Oblivion if that helps to figure this problem out.

I want to remove the ''Amber Ore Material List'' and the ''Madness Ore Material List'' out of my inventory. Is there a quest to remove these from my inventory or a mod or code I can use since I cant pull up the console in the Steam version?

I found the Ore and Matrix for both lists but it wont remove them out of my inventory and I can't Shift + Click to remove them either, It says they are quest items but they are just a list as far as I know. Also is there a way to remove spells as well without the conole?

Are you sure? The console works perfectly with the Steam version, at least it's supposed to. If you indeed can't use the console then there's some sort of problem, because it definitely isn't by desing.

There is a way to remove quest items, but it requires using console.

setquestobject <BaseID> <flag>

Base ID is the item code for the item you wish to discard.

The Flag value will turn any quest item into a non quest item by setting the value as 0. Setting Flag as 1 will turn any item into a quest item.

Type the following commands into console and then discard the items.

setquestobject 0001f3c6 0
setquestobject 0001f4c2 0

Thanks Dexter that worked perfectly and I was able to drop the items, They didnt drop on the ground but I'm not complaining :)

The only thing is they are hovering in mid air if you drop them and cant be moved, I'm going to put them in a random crate somewhere and never touch them again :)
