Controller supported?
I wonder if Oblivion supports the xbox controller, can anybody tell me?

the power of a computer allows for amazing graphics that aren't available on the console, and as for why people want to use a controller on a pc well... anyone can point a mouse and click, but it takes skill to use a controller.

PC gaming is about having choice. You've literally argued for having less choice. I want the best graphics and the comfort of sitting on the sofa playing this, without having to be hunched over a monitor.

PC gaming has moved on since 2005.

You're right, there's houndred of games that work perfectly on the console version but can't be completely used with controller on PCs, and that's unfair. But still, with or without controller, I'm playing it

This guy gets it games r games and they r fun even if you can't use what u want.

well it's going to be 4 years since i posted this and im kind of amazed how people rage their fights between pc and console.... i never got my controller supported but i still beat the game on keyboard and mouse... looking forward morrowind next, although im not posting anything this time

LOL yeah talk about people getting their pants in a bunch over something completely meaningless.
The controller support through Steam isn't that good for this game, it just wasn't designed for gamepad origionally and not much than can be done to fix it.

there is full controller support. just go to steam/settings/controller/then config/allow generic xinput/allow xbox controller/ then go to layouts and pick one made by community. i have one up there called skyblivion. skyrim controls. just make sure oblivion control scheme is default in game

Yeah this post is kind of obsolete now that steam has its own controller and settings, but back in the day I posted it, it was more of a deal that a game released in consoles didn't have controller support already built in the game itself

It's more comfortable for you because you have been using it for a long time. Trust me I used to hate aiming with a mouse or using a keyboard in PC games because I was so used to a controller. However , I have learned that the mouse makes moving the camera much smoother than a joystick and keyboards allow access to controls you might not even knew existed on console versions of games such as hotkeys , quicksaves, lean etc. plus you can change any of the controls to your liking.

Just try using mouse and keyboard more often and you to will find it's far superior to a gamepad.

i kow this is old, but i just need to say people are different, i too find it comfortable to use a controler and ive been using my pc for 10 year ...
