Invisible Problem
This problem just recently started for me. I have been playing Oblivion for a really long time but when I started playing again my character is invisible as if I drank or used a camouflage spell or potion. I haven't and it won't go away no matter what I do. It's even there when I go back to my previous save files. Help....please.

You probably somehow caused the permanent effects glitch. The glitch occurs when wearing certain items and using another item that forces you to be unequipped such as the Ring of Disrobing or by doing Sanguine's Quest which strips your gear using Stark Reality. The script causes all items to be unequipped, but not the effects received from the enchantment of certain items.

Check your magic menu for active effects, the tab on the far right within the magic menu and check what is giving you the chameleon effect. Then you will have to use console to try to force the item causing the problem to be unequipped.

The command to remove the problem is: player.dispel MagicID

You have to figure out the MagicID which is the code of the enchantment causing the problem.
