This sucks, I guess I'll have to keep finding / buying potions / spells.
What if I cast a disepel on myself? Will that get rid of the effect?
Right. So doesn't matter how high I restore the value to, it will ALWAYS be red, for good?
This is why altars are extremely useful, since they restore all attributes by 200 points with a single use, while the strongest restore attribute potions restore just 20.
I usually only use custom spells so regualr spells don't clutter my spell list. Of course you have to buy one spell in order to be able to create a custom spell with that ability. I usually buy the cheapest spells in the line and just skip past the few low level spells I had to buy to get to my custom spells.
Just create a custom spell, Restore LUCK 3 for 5 seconds. I would make one for all the attributes, but luck, strength, and endurance are the most important ones imo. I always make sure endurance isn't impaired before sleeping to level up because it will probably affect your HP increase on leveling.
If you have GOTY Deluxe, you can go to your lair at Frostcrag to create enchantments instead of doing the whole Mage Guild queststhing to get access to the Arcane University. But you will have to stock Frostcrag with the Candles for the Altars which is sold at Three Brothers Trade Goods in Imperial City
That's why I like Rolling Hills Manor from: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/43603/ .
All it takes to get ownership is a short quest. It already comes pre-stocked with enchantment orbs along with all kinds of other nifty items.. The big plus with Rolling Hills is that it is not laggy like some of the other mod abodes.
Yeah that is how i used to do it, but it is much easier doing those quests then farming up 3-4k as a new starting character for a magetallow candle that is better spent elsewhere.
I usually like to use the limited gold I have in the beginning to save up for Gauntlets of Gluttony which is a huge boost in Strength and is very durable. Strength 15 at level 1 is considerable. It helps do more damage and increases your carrying capacity.
Having the ability to create spells to train magic at low mp cost in the early levels is vital to speeding up the leveling process that doing the quests are more efficient to me since you will need to do the quests at some point anyways to complete the guild quests.
I have to have a spellmaking altar ASAP to make spells such as Fortify Personality 60 and Mercantle 75 for 2 seconds to invest in shops and get the most value out of the gold I have and the sellables I come across as a new character. Also having Fortify Armorer 85+ for the unbreakable hammer perk is a must.
