"Scheduled for Execution" Quest Help

I've tried to win the bonus but every time i kill him it says that the bonus is forfeit. How do you get the bonus!?!?!

The dark brotherhood quest where you need to kill Vale Dreth, and you have to prevent the death of any guards. But I kept on going past them with an invisibility spell.

Are you sure you didn't get it since you didn't even know what the reward was? It is easy to miss because it just looks like ordinary scales. You may have even tossed it thinking it was just scales lol.

Heh. I was looking for a wiki so I could post a link for help, but they all had errors. IGN had the biggest blunder.

Hey I just found out that to get the bonus, you need to shoot him with an arrow!! Thank y'all so much!!!

If you talk to the Orc at the hideout, he points out that you don't need to use the arrow to get the bonus. You just have to follow through with collecting the finger and putting it in the specified desk in the Imperial city to get the bonus.

Wrong sub-quest. Vale Dreth is the elf in the Imperial Prison, that one that gave you that wonderful "You're going to die" speech just before the Emperor showed up.

Ah ok. He mentioned the arrow as if it was a requirement. I got rid of that guy without killing a guard without trouble, so I assumed it was the other sub-quest. Thanks for the correction.
