Oldblivion help

how do i install Oldblivion to my computer, and also, why does my game crash on startup, i press play on the launcher and it shows an error where it says Oblivion has stopped working and needs to close. any help?

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. Best bet ist ticket and keep an eye on these discussions. If yoyu get a fix then please post it here, I'll do the same.

Having same problem.i've shifted everything out of the program files folder, which is a known issue and reinstalled oblivion with no mods or anything. try launching it and i get the beginning of the bethesda logo and then it crashes. No idea why.

well, as i said, i cant even start up the game, it is probably on account that i have a terrible computer, i guess Morrowind and Counter Strike is ok until i get a new computer.

maybe there is a way to set up launch options in the properties

often is an old Oblivion.ini from a previous installation the problem, delete this file and try again "C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini"

you want to install OLDblivion?
i'd recommend going to http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/? and download Oblivion Mod Manager here: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/2097/?

and load your mods in through there

i'd also recommend the unofficial patches for the game, shivering isles and dlc of the game

lastly, try running in compatibility mode xp service pack 3

when the readme file pops up, it says it added an Oblivion.ini file for me to start tinkering with, what does that me

there is also a file named Oblivion_default and in it is cell information etc. what do i do with it
