Font problems

So I just decided to play this game again and all of my fonts are huge, completely distorted making the game unplayable. I thought it was the result of a mod but i deactivated all of them, but it changed nothing. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if there are any fixes for it.

Running on Windows 7 32 bit with a 2.4Ghz dual core processor, 3GB of RAM, and a gtx 460SE.

I really just want to be able to play this game

you can change the fonts manually in the oblivion.ini "C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini"
this should be the default values:

[Fonts]
SFontFile_1=Data\Fonts\Kingthings_Regular.fnt
SFontFile_2=Data\Fonts\Kingthings_Shadowed.fnt
SFontFile_3=Data\Fonts\Tahoma_Bold_Small.fnt
SFontFile_4=Data\Fonts\Daedric_Font.fnt
SFontFile_5=Data\Fonts\Handwritten.fnt

or you just delete the oblivion.ini and it restore itself.

I just checked the ini file, but the default values were there, nevertheless deleted it just to be safe. When I loaded it back up the problem was still there. I can't take a screenshot effectively in game because the prntscreen button is disabled, but basically all of the words of items and choices in the inventory and menu screens are distorted and blurry to the point of not even being able to see what I'm actually selecting.

Hey, I realize it's more than two and a half years later but did you ever find a solution to this issue? I'm having the same problem now.

No, unfortunately. I got a new pc and haven't tried on it, but for some reason i could never fix it on my old one.
