The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Dude, Where's My Horse?
So I've lost my horse, Shadowmere. I think rode to her to near the location of the secret cult hideout in the main quest line. Soon after I entered, I was told, "Shadowmere is unconscious." After I got out I looked for her and and couldn't find her. Normally horses fast travel with me but I have no idea where she is. Anybody experience this or have any suggestions? Thanks!

It's at fort farragut. Since he's essential, he always travels slowly back to fort farragut. Just wait a few weeks and you should get "Shadowmere has returned to for farragut."

Get used to this. She's VERY aggressive and will go on to attack stuff that you haven't noticed - and then sometimes get her ass kicked. Because she's tagged as essential she won't die, but will end up getting separated from you and eventually show up at Farragut.

Check out the Oblivion Nexus for a mod called..."Dude, Where's My Horse?"...im not kidding you...it will give you a quest marker as to where your horse is exactly so you never lose your horse ingame again, works with the horses ingame and modded ones. I use the one you can summon from The Forgotten Towers mod so i never lose them anyways. :)

If you get bored of it you can always get some summon horse spell mod. But then you can't kill your horse and hoard your gear, hah.
