Steam copy of oblivion asking to insert cd

When I launch oblivion, it launches launcher, then when I press play, it says No disc inserted, please insert the disc. There are options to cancel, retry, and continue. Continue continues to the game, but even before the bethesda logo (famous ctd spot), it just crashes. I see the loading screen and logo for under 1 second. And then crashes. Just downloaded the game to play it again.

Same problem here. I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that I'm using Windows 8, because on Windows 7 it didn't ask for the disk at all. I'm also not using any mods, It' a fresh install.
However, I managed to fix the crashing by deleting .ini files from my previous install located in C:/Users/"Your User Name"/My Documents/My Games/Oblivion.

If I manage find more info about this problem I'll post it here.

I use windows 7. Deleting whole oblivion folder in my games, didn't help. Somehow deleting EVERYTHING related to oblivion in my PC, redownloaded and installed, and it works fine.
