Doors, Gates, Fires, and Spell Animations Happening in slow motion
Not sure what happened but for some reason as I said in the title things like doors are opening and closing in slow motion. Wondering if anybody knows a way to fix this without going back to a previous save.

Guess I should also add that the rest of the game is running what I would consider normally.

If I go back far enough in my saves they go back to normal speed, but the latest save I have that isn't effected would cost me hours of gameplay that included alot of exploring since I'm covering the wilderness area on the eastern map before going back to the story and doing shivering isles.

Additional Note
Not sure if this is related but I've noticed that the churches are treating me as a criminal, but the wayshrines still give me a blessing. Plus I don't have infamy or bounty.

Err nevermind the additional note I think it was one of those times where there was no crime but the guards thought there was so it spawned an assault charge.

Nope, it's just a time thing. I've had to fix A-bomb on Windows 10. Comes up about every 300 hours because I'm using an animated containers mod.

Oh really this problem still exists then for all users after all these years....
Thanks Bethesda. Very heavy sarcasm. :duranceleft::duranceright:

I think this is the a-bomb bug. Wrye Bash has an attempted fix for this that you could try. A lot of background stuff causes this glitch about ~300 hours into a game. Mods, saving and reloading during combat, and other things contribute to the likelihood of this happening.

Imagine how bad it was before a solution to Abomb was found. Back then the only solution was get used to it or start a new game. I worked out that if you jumped it would speed up the animations but it was still tedious. Then I discovered Engine Bug Fixes.

That doesn't even sound like a work around though because if you saved the game during that game state the save file would get corrupted and you could no longer load the file.
I guess you would have to get used to never closing the game again too.
It happened to me i saved the game during the bug and then tried to load the file and it said the file was corrupt. I had a backup save before the bug but lost about an hour of dungeon progress. Ran the file with the mod and it worked again.
I did notice during the bug effect that quicksaving sped up the animation for a short time but you still could not load the quicksave file.

The game is also just now known to corrupt quicksaves and autosaves. In fact, I've read many recommendations the last few years about never saving in combat, not using quicksave, disabling the autosaves in the ini, and exiting the game completely and re-launching it to load a save because the game doesn't correctly dump scripts and other data upon loading a game. All of this just keeps getting baked into your save over and over again until one day you just can't load it because something in the background is messed up.
