Installing MODS into Oblivion

Hey, its my first time on Steam and installing MODS, and I am in need of help on how to install them into the Steam version of the game. I tried the way the website explain, and the paths are not there, unless I am blind...lol

You have to put the .esp file into C:Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\common\Oblivion\Data\ then when you launch the game click "Data Files" and put a check near the mod nname then play and have fun!

what would you say is the best website to use? I am using Planet Elderscrolls now, but it only lets me do a couple, then I get redirected to IGN.com...

The best website is http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/ without a doubt and also instead of draging all the files into the data folde get oblivion mod manager or OMM and extract the mod files into a folder and in the preogramme oblivion mod manager click create omod then select the folder and just double click on the omod and it will install it and to uninstall just double click it again< Hope this helps

Guys its simple sign up on the webside then click the tab on the main page that says files then select categories then select the category of mod you want or just search the name of the mod

If it doesnt download right click on the download tab and select "open link in new tab" that works for me if the downloads dont seem to be working if that still fails try this website instead

you should also get the Oblivion mod Manager, makes life SO much easer, especially with remapping textures and areas.

Out of curiosity, is using Oblivion Mod Manager (OMM) better than Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) for Steam mod use?
