Oblivion GOTY vs Deluxe
Which one is better?
Is the Deluxe worth the extra money?

Also, if I have just the GOTY, is it possible to upgrade to the Deluxe later?

The goty version does not include Mehrunes' Razor.

That is total BS you friggin n00B.

Here is everything that my GOTY edition has:
Frostcrag
Horse Armor
Mehrunes Razor
Orrey
Shivering Isles
Spell Tomes
Thieves Den
Vile lair
Knights of the Nine
There are two versions of the game for sale. Game of the Year Edition, and Game of the Year Deluxe. They are both GOTY editions, but only the Deluxe version has all the DLC.

Nope. GOTY ≠ GOTY Deluxe, stop spreading misinformation.

Is there any way of going from GOTY to Deluxe? I get an error about my purchase can't be completed due to me already owning part of the bundle.

Thanks!

Definitly worth it

Actually, so far everybody is wrong. If you get the GOTY you get both of the expansions and all of the official DLC's. If you get the deluxe, you get Oblivion GOTY and Morrowind GOTY.

Obviously, if you already have one or the other (Morrowind or Oblivion GOTY's), you should just buy the one you need, instead of the "deluxe"

The Oblivion GOTY edition includes Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions.

The Oblivion GOTY Deluxe edition includes Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions plus Fighter's Stronghold Expansion, Spell Tome Treasures, Vile Lair, Mehrune's Razor and much more.

There is a difference. The Deluxe edition does NOT include Morrowind GOTY, there is the Morrowind GOTY edition for that.

OK I'm sorry for asking this... but what is so difficult to understand about the difference between the Deluxe Edition and the standard GOTY Edition? The differences are right there on the Steam page:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/22330/

Basic GOTY Edition:

Buy The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion® Game of the Year Edition

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition includes Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions.

$19.99

GOTY Deluxe Edition:

Buy The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion® Game of the Year Edition Deluxe

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition Deluxe includes Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions plus Fighter's Stronghold Expansion, Spell Tome Treasures, Vile Lair, Mehrune's Razor and much more. This edition is playable only in English language.

$24.99

Seriously folks....

I think all versions are missing Fighter's Stronghold DLC. Might be wrong though.

Is not Fighter's Stronghold just the Battlehorn Castle DLC now ?
pleasenoname3 2 JUL 2013 a las 11:02
Yes. that is correct. Deluxe is the only one that has fighters stronghold. There is a disc based expansion that has Knights of the Nine and all the DLC except Fighter's Stronghold(Battlehorn castle). Regular GOTY Edition just has Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.

As I have understood:

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition Deluxe includes Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions plus Fighter's Stronghold Expansion, Spell Tome Treasures, Vile Lair, Mehrune's Razor and much more. This edition is playable only in English language.

What I'd like to know is: What is the "much more" in the description above?

Is the deluxe worth it for $2.50 more? I don't really get what it adds. A new spell system? What does that mean exactly? They don't explain it in the store at all, very annoying.
