What is up with the Mercantile Skill?
So Ive beaten the main questline, gained 30k gold by bartiring and speachcrafting and the like, Wasted it all on every gold sink I could find, gotten 50K back again... and my mercantile skill is not even above 50! Am I doing something wrong? Is there some trick, Like how you can buy an easy spell and spam it for a half hour.

Also, im not using, nor am I willing to use any mods or console comands. Exploits are welcome, but if theres a more "Legitamite" way to up my skill, Id like to hear it.

One way to level Mercantile Skill is to use cheap clothes that you can buy and sell over and over again without losing to much money. Try to max the NPC's disposition first other wise use a custom spell that raises your mercantile skill and personality to 100 from your base skill.

Also FYI if you sell items in bulk it will count as one transaction. Like if you sell 10 of the same potions at once it counts as one skill up in mercantile. Make sure you sell each item one at a time.

Darn bulk sale rules... why are these elder scrolls plauged by this dumb rule.
ALSO... gotta becareful trying to Barter the deals. I heard, or read, somewhere, that every attempt to improve your barter but fail to make deal hurts you Mercentile skill. If your like me, and change the barter high every time you deal, and when refused, only change it by dropping it one point 10x to finally get em to accept deal... thats TEN failed transactions to effect your Mercentile skill.
If your really trying to focus on your mercentile skill, every deal you go into, no matter the cost, only increase the barter 1 pt, or leave it there for a few transactions, almost ever deal will go through, and your Mercentile skill will improve much faster... especially if you take the advice above, and sell bulk items individually.
