However if anyone uses your account or your computer you should be aware that Oblivion has a small problem with the Steam Cloud. It is nothing major and shouldn't be a problem, but everytime you turn on your computer and log into Steam whether you have played Oblivion or not Steam Cloud will always perform a sync and sometimes it takes a while.
So you might have to disable Steam Cloud sync when you stop playing Oblivion, then re-enable it when you are ready to play again.
Yesterday ive started to playing heavily modded Oblivion (Heartland Redux).
Now i am back at my main place and ive realized that my save games are not present on the current (2nd) machine.
I thought i was clever enough to back up files from "Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves" but as i can see now, there is only "steam_autocloud.vdf" file which has size of just 1kB.
So my question is, where are the actual save files located? Does these mods use different location for save files?
Thanks for any advice.

I was just wondering if after modding that game it might be the case that save files are located in a different folder?
I cant find any info about this topic regarding this specific mod pack... :/
search your drives for files that end in .ess
