still trying to fix this skin tone problem with oblivion :(
i just did what i thought was a clean reinstall but when i loaded the *vanilla* game up, the textures are still super drastic...
i've uploaded screenshots to show what i mean: http://imgur.com/a/sHNKd
is there any way to fix this? i don't ever recall there being blue albinos or people completely devoid of skin tone in the game :(
is there a skin tone or any texture replacer i can use? was planning on using Oblivion Character Overhaul but its pointless if i can't resolve this problem...
please let me know. thanks.
this isn't normal tho, right? just wanna make sure before i continue to bug people for answers...
if anyone else knows how to fix this, please let me know.
But I used showracemenu to change my skintone just now and my skintones can be altered pretty extremely too. Very Dark or very white.
I am not sure if OCOv2 is responisble or if I have another mod running, but I do know that something is affecting the character generator.
In the vanilla game you can only alter your character skin tone and facial characteristics in a limited way. I think it is limited to modifications up to 100. With whatever mod is responsible you have more varying levels of alteration up to 1000. That allows you to make more subtle and drastic changes in your characters face structure and skin tone.
i had the same idea that it must be caused by a mod and i thought doing a reinstall would fix this problem but alas, it didn't :(
any one know what would be doing this?
Well I don't recall what caused the change, only that it was something that I wanted when I read about it because it allows you to make more subtle changes to your characters face which gives you more control over how your character looks.
I wIsh I could remember what it was. All I can think of is that it might hvae been an included function of Oblivion Character Overhaul or possibly the Construction Set, but I can't say for sure. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
