How to kill Umbra level 1

One of the things I do in every playthrough is killing Umbra and getting that sword and armor. So, here is 3 easy ways how to do it early in the game:

Do not do that bro. Umbra isn't a levelling weapon. It stays at whatever strength you find it at, so if you kill her at level 1... basically, one of the supposed "strongest" weapons in the game will become absolute bs and you'll get no use out of it.

If you want a really strong weapon that also levels with you, go to the shivering isles and find duskfang/dawnfang.

umbra stays the same damage no matter what now the armor tops out its stats at lvl 15 but the sword only gets more damage through blade , strength and 125% repair. If you can kill her at lvl 1 and dont care about the armor its the best weapon to grab if you dont have gold brand.

There is no point in killing Umbra at level 1. The armor weighs 140 kg. With 40 strength and 75 blacksmith skill, Umbra's sword damage will be -24. Ancient katana - 14 damage, enchanted with a sigil 15 units. Electricity damage will be more powerful.

I like Umbra because it has decent damage with good durability, so you dont have to repair it as often and as a quest item its weightless so it saves you some encumbrance in the earlier levels of low carry weight.

As for weapons and armor, I'm level 24 or around and I just use what looks cool. If I'm losing I lower the diff and if I'm too strong I raise diff.
I guess if you were doing a max difficulty run, ya, you'd want to leave it until it at its max pwr rating. -I guess level 15 like buddy above says. I would do that and might try a max difficulty run someday.
