The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Some text is not showing
Menu text works, loading screen text works, subtitles work, but that is a far as it gets. Every item in the inventory is missing name and description, as happens with quest information and map locations.
I have very few mods installed, and I have already deleted the ones I got just before the problem appeared (and also a few I already had but that I thought could be causing it).
Please help me, I don't want to play Skyrim.

Try reinstalling or verifying your cache.
Indeed. Judging by the description of your problem, it looks to me like you're missing files. Which language version did you install?

English.
Upon further investigation, I discovered the Real Swords mods were causing the problem (I would never have guessed). Upon eliminating some of them without sheding a tear, as they were ultra OP, the problem was solved for one session. When I closed and opened the game, text was missing again. So I had to elimintate the rest of them and it worked so far.

I can live without them. Thanks for your help anyway!

If you want to install mods and hope for them to work together, you'll need to put some effort into it. If you're interested I'll give you some advice.

Thanks, but I try to keep my mods to the minimum necessary. No weird stuff, just improvements I couldn't play without anymore. Like a mod that betters the faces, that's essential.
